So we built Dive the Americas: a custom dive travel agency focused entirely on experiences underwater. ~8 hours of online theory at your own pace, weeks before the trip. We send the materials when you book; you can be sipping coffee on your couch.
Settle into your hotel. Afternoon confined-water session in a pool: mask clearing, regulator skills, neutral buoyancy. Calm, supervised, low-stakes.
Two morning dives each day at protected reef sites. Skills repeated in real conditions: descent, ascent, buddy checks. Afternoons free for the beach, lunch, naps.
Final two qualifying dives. Shorter morning, longer lunch. By afternoon you're a certified PADI Open Water diver: cleared to dive anywhere, with anyone, to 18m.
Optional fun dive at a deeper site (Hol Chan reef, the local wreck): your first dive as a real, certified diver. Or skip it for a slow morning. Your choice.
